There is a saying
that always haunts my thoughts which I heard from a particular drama. That is
“We are captives or our identities living in prisons of our own creation”. The
first time I got my ears on this, I realised how powerful this statement was.
It just opened my mind to a whole new level of thinking. I just said to myself
that aren’t we all doing the same thing. We are the ones who create the world
around us and we determine who we are, what we do, decide on who we associate with
and some of the things which we create and build our world around it. Have we
ever wondered whether we have the right to determine how others think and
behave! Generation after generation of humans have passed on the knowledge of how
to love and survive and if you go against it by some means they label you as a
destroyer of the culture, heritage, religion or even race. Is it fair to
restrict individual’s free thinking and knowledge or is it fair to restrict
people at all from exploring themselves? These are some questions we need to
answer as individuals and as a collective society. My thoughts might be wrong
or might be argued if you think so after reading this you should ask yourself
one question. Did I just restrict another man’s imagination?

Thinking
I find it
difficult sometimes to concentrate but I do get over it, but by then sometimes
what I was doing may be long gone pass me. I still do struggle to understand
why we as humans tend to judge certain situations in life and generalise
things. Are we going against to what Darwin said in his evolution theory? Can’t
humans evolve? Can’t they do things differently and achieve the same results?
Or come up with even better results? What most people tend to do is evaluate
life based on what they know or what they’ve heard about. We have completely forgotten
that people are different. We no longer see this and this is why all the
generalisations are happening and this is why we classify people and situations.

Points duly noted and I agree... It's a host of question that perhaps would never be answered... :\
